In just a few short days my custom wedding invitation clients, Meagan and Ben, will be tying the knot! They were such a fun couple to work with—their wedding day is sure to be a blast! Which is exactly what they want. I met with Meg in December to start working out the details of the invitations for their wedding. Meg and Ben knew exactly what they wanted…in their heads, but were having a little trouble getting all of those ideas “down on paper”. They wanted something simple and elegant…but not too stuffy. Classic but not too traditional. This is exactly the type of custom client I LOVE working with.
The first thing on Meagan’s “must have” list was ribbon. She knew she wanted to tie the entire suite together with ribbon so we played around with a few different options but ultimately decided on a stunning navy blue satin ribbon. Adding those special touches let Meagan and Ben’s guests know they were in for a special night!
One of my favorite things to do with my custom clients is to look through my font list with them. Identifying which fonts a couple likes or dislikes can be a huge insight into the tone their looking for in their wedding invitations—even if they don’t realize it. Meagan and Ben chose a very traditional combination of fonts…but spiced things up a bit my adding a metallic Accent Layer.
I love when my clients give me a challenge…and that’s exactly what Meg did with her Response Cards. In addition to names and entrée options Meagan and Ben also needed to know how many people would be attending their Post-Wedding Bunch on Sunday and they also wanted to use their response card to start building a request list for their DJ. So they opted for a larger response card and we highlighted the entrée section to make sure that the card was still easy for guests to navigate.
Congratulations Meagan and Ben! Wishing you a wonderful wedding day and a lifetime of happiness!
